Caring for Hand Block Printed & Naturally Dyed garments

We specialize in unique hand block printed clothing – printed on 100% cotton. 
The fabric has been stamped by hand with each design & colour. This technique has been passed down & practiced for centuries in Rajasthan, India.
To preserve its beauty please slow down and be mindful of how to take care of your unique hand crafted garment.

Our recommendations are:

  • Hand wash separately
  • Wash in cold water
  • Do not soak
  • Dry in shade – do not tumble dry
  • Use a very mild earth friendly detergent
  • Do not use fabric softeners
  • Less washing is better for your clothing & the Planet. Refresh your garments by airing them when they don’t require a full launder.

Some fabrics, in particular Indigo & the darker shades, will loose a considerable amount of dye during the first few washes. Adding salt to the water will help.
Some slight fading will occur over time.

  • Do not soak
  • Dry in shade – do not tumble dry
  • Use a very mild earth friendly detergent
  • Drape over a towel to dry
  • Less washing is better for your clothing & the Planet. Refresh your garments by airing them when they don’t require a full launder.
