Soft, feminine and beautifully light, the Bijou Blouse is made from superfine 100% cotton with a naturally crinkled texture. Gentle gathers, a softly ruffled neckline and fine tasselled ties give this little sleeveless blouse its charm - tie her closed or leave the neckline open for a more relaxed look.

Light as a feather and full of beautiful little details, Bijou has a soft, feminine feel with just a hint of boho.

Made from superfine cotton, the cloth is gently gathered through the body with a softly ruffled neckline and fine ties finished with tassels. Wear the ties closed to bring the neckline together, or leave them undone for a more open, relaxed feel.

Bijou is designed as a twist-and-store garment. Twisting the blouse before storing preserves that beautiful crinkled texture, while drawing the gathers back in and keeping the silhouette soft rather than overly full.

Sleeveless and light, with a relaxed shape that finishes around the hip, Bijou is an easy little summer blouse that feels every bit as lovely as it looks.

The Process

Hand Block Printed in India

Hand block printing is a traditional and highly skilled artisan technique, where fabric is printed by hand using intricately carved rosewood blocks.

It's a process that takes time, and begins with preparing the cloth and carving the blocks. The dye master then mixes the colours by hand and memory, each print is placed with precision, guided by eye and experience — a steady rhythm, applying the print in layers to bring the pattern to life.

Once printed, the fabric is washed, dried, and checked — revealing a textile shaped by time, skill, and human touch.

Subtle variations may occur, and are part of what makes each piece unique.

Garment Care

Handmade garments need extra loving care. Gently hand wash in COLD water using a very small amount of natural detergent. Do not soak or leave wet in a laundry basket. Do not place in a dryer. Drape or hang in the shade to dry. Leave un-ironed for that natural cotton look and feel.

We recommend washing Indigo pieces separately in cold salty water several times to help release any excess dye.

Lovingly handmade in India, slight variations in colour are part of the unique beauty of each garment.

Sale items: are final sale and not eligible for a return, unless deemed faulty.

Returns must be lodged within 14 days of delivery via our Returns Portal.
Garments must be returned unworn, unwashed, with tags attached, and folded inside the recycled vintage sari carry bag provided.
