Feminine with a more tailored line, the Daphne is a knee-length 100% cotton dress with a beautifully simple square neckline, wide straps and contrast hand block print detailing. Gently shaped through the body with a soft A-line through the hips, finished with a fine contrast frill at the hem.

The Daphne brings a slightly more tailored shape to our hand block printed cottons.

Cut with a clean, square neckline and wide straps, the contrast print continues around the neckline and under the arms, beautifully framing the main print of the dress.

The silhouette is a little more tailored through the body on this style, opening gently into an A-line through the hips, with discreet darts at the back adding just enough shape. A super-fine cotton lining gives a little extra coverage while keeping the dress beautifully light.

And at the hem, a fine frill in the same contrast print adds a playful little finish.

Pockets, of course.

The Process

Hand Block Printed in India

Hand block printing is a traditional and highly skilled artisan technique, where fabric is printed by hand using intricately carved rosewood blocks.

It's a process that takes time, and begins with preparing the cloth and carving the blocks. The dye master then mixes the colours by hand and memory, each print is placed with precision, guided by eye and experience — a steady rhythm, applying the print in layers to bring the pattern to life.

Once printed, the fabric is washed, dried, and checked — revealing a textile shaped by time, skill, and human touch.

Subtle variations may occur, and are part of what makes each piece unique.

Garment Care

Handmade garments need extra loving care. Gently hand wash in COLD water using a very small amount of natural detergent. Do not soak or leave wet in a laundry basket. Do not place in a dryer. Drape or hang in the shade to dry. Leave un-ironed for that natural cotton look and feel.

We recommend washing Indigo pieces separately in cold salty water several times to help release any excess dye.

Lovingly handmade in India, slight variations in colour are part of the unique beauty of each garment.

Sale items: are final sale and not eligible for a return, unless deemed faulty.

Returns must be lodged within 14 days of delivery via our Returns Portal.
Garments must be returned unworn, unwashed, with tags attached, and folded inside the recycled vintage sari carry bag provided.
