Sweet, feminine and beautifully relaxed, the Elodie Dress has a softly gathered, free-flowing silhouette with a lovely rounded neckline. A little decorative tie at the back adds a charming finishing touch, and of course, there are pockets!

Features

Elodie has a lovely simplicity, with just enough detail to make her a little different.

The softly rounded neckline is framed by a narrow band that continues over the shoulders, forming the straps as part of the design. Gentle gathers fall from beneath the band, giving Elodie her beautifully relaxed shape and allowing the cotton to flow freely through the body.

At the back, a little fabric tie adds a sweet finishing detail. It's not needed to adjust the fit — it's simply part of Elodie's charm.

Falling just below the knee, Elodie has a lovely, easy silhouette with plenty of room to move. And yes, we've included pockets!

Wear her with sandals for a beautifully simple summer look, and let those gorgeous hand block prints do the talking.

The Textile

100% Cotton Voile

Soft and weightless with a light, flowing feel. Semi-sheer with a fine, gentle softness to the touch, moving beautifully on the body.

The Process

Hand Block Printed Indigo

Created using a traditional mud-resist hand block printing technique, each Indigo piece carries the depth and character of this centuries-old artisan process. Intricately carved wooden blocks are hand-printed onto the fabric using a specially formulated mud resist paste, before the cloth is immersed into an indigo dye vat.

Once dried beneath the sun and gently washed, the resist is lifted away to reveal the design beneath — rich indigo tones layered with beautifully organic texture and tonal variation.

Slow, skilful, and deeply rooted in tradition, this time-honoured process celebrates the beauty of human touch and natural indigo dyeing.

As most SoulSong garments are made from natural cotton with minimal stretch, we recommend allowing room for ease and movement when selecting your size.

Garment Care

Handmade garments need extra loving care. Gently hand wash in COLD water using a very small amount of natural detergent. Do not soak or leave wet in a laundry basket. Do not place in a dryer. Drape or hang in the shade to dry. Leave un-ironed for that natural cotton look and feel.

We recommend washing Indigo pieces separately in cold salty water several times to help release any excess dye.

Lovingly handmade in India, slight variations in colour are part of the unique beauty of each garment.

Sale items: are final sale and not eligible for a return, unless deemed faulty.

Returns must be lodged within 14 days of delivery via our Returns Portal.
Garments must be returned unworn, unwashed, with tags attached, and folded inside the recycled vintage sari carry bag provided.
