Features

Elegant and classy in a sleeveless style, the Flamenco Dress is an outstanding design with a bias-cut bodice, enabling it to fit almost any shape or size, and a full flowing tiered skirt, each tier progressively increasing in circumference. These dresses fall elegantly from the relaxed waist to the mid shin. Discreet little pockets add to the design. Looks amazing teamed with a leather belt!

Soft and weightless with a light, flowing feel. Semi-sheer with a fine, gentle softness to the touch, moving beautifully on the body.

The Process

Hand Block Printed in India

Hand block printing is a traditional and highly skilled artisan technique, where fabric is printed by hand using intricately carved rosewood blocks.

It's a process that takes time, and begins with preparing the cloth and carving the blocks. The dye master then mixes the colours by hand and memory, each print is placed with precision, guided by eye and experience — a steady rhythm, applying the print in layers to bring the pattern to life.

Once printed, the fabric is washed, dried, and checked — revealing a textile shaped by time, skill, and human touch.

Subtle variations may occur, and are part of what makes each piece unique.

Sizing

Garment Measurements:

Underarm to Hem: 100cm

The bodice on this stunning versatile fitting dress is cut on the bias, therefore the actual length may vary depending on each individual body. For example, a larger upper body will fill the bodice area and result in a slightly shorter dress length.

Measurements are shown in centimetres (cm) and taken with the garment laid flat. They refer to the garment itself, not your body.

Fit may vary between styles, with some designed for a relaxed fit and others more shaped through the bust, waist, or hips.

As most SoulSong garments are made from natural cotton with minimal stretch, we recommend allowing room for ease and movement when selecting your size.

Garment Care

Handmade garments need extra loving care. Gently hand wash in COLD water using a very small amount of natural detergent. Do not soak or leave wet in a laundry basket. Do not place in a dryer. Drape or hang in the shade to dry. Leave un-ironed for that natural cotton look and feel.

We recommend washing Indigo pieces separately in cold salty water several times to help release any excess dye.

Lovingly handmade in India, slight variations in colour are part of the unique beauty of each garment.

Love everything about this dress. The way it falls & the fabric is divine

I liked this dress so much that I immediately ordered another in a different colour. I'm normally a size 12 and it fit perfectly but I could see that it would fit just as well if I were slimmer. Cut on the bias so it has wonderful 'give' . Very flattering and hangs beautifully.

Versatile dress

Love the fabric in this dress. Lightweight pure cotton, super comfortable. Can dress it up with a jacket making it an excellent trans-seasonal addition to the wardrobe.

I have just purchased my third flamenco dress with sleeves, each one a favourite. I travel overseas each year and they are great dresses to pack, they are very versatile for all weather, adding tights and boots with a jacket for cool days and as is on warmer days. Love them.

The colour & pattern are excellent and the shape of the dress is very flattering to my body. At 66 I find it hard to find a dress that does not hang like a sack, especially because my bosom is a little on the fulsome size as my tummy decided it likes the 'still a little pregnant' look after I had my kids. I think this is my 'go to' dress from now on. I believe adding to the range by making it in a bigger size for ladies larger than me would also be a good idea; I am at the top of the sizes the dress covers, and I am not a very big person (bosom aside).
