There’s something quite beautiful about the way the Freya falls.

A long, flowing maxi with a slightly vintage feel, Freya is cut to fall freely from the chest, allowing the cloth to open into a beautifully full skirt. Gentle pleats through the centre front and back add shape and movement, while additional panels set into the front sides create a soft, almost circular sweep from the hips to the hem.

The deep V-neckline is one of Freya’s defining details, finished in a contrasting hand block print that gives the dress just the right amount of character.

And yes, there are pockets.

Wear her loose and flowing to make the most of all that beautiful cloth, or add a belt when you feel like bringing in the waist.

The Process

Hand Block Printed in India

Hand block printing is a traditional and highly skilled artisan technique, where fabric is printed by hand using intricately carved rosewood blocks.

It's a process that takes time, and begins with preparing the cloth and carving the blocks. The dye master then mixes the colours by hand and memory, each print is placed with precision, guided by eye and experience — a steady rhythm, applying the print in layers to bring the pattern to life.

Once printed, the fabric is washed, dried, and checked — revealing a textile shaped by time, skill, and human touch.

Subtle variations may occur, and are part of what makes each piece unique.

Garment Care

Handmade garments need extra loving care. Gently hand wash in COLD water using a very small amount of natural detergent. Do not soak or leave wet in a laundry basket. Do not place in a dryer. Drape or hang in the shade to dry. Leave un-ironed for that natural cotton look and feel.

We recommend washing Indigo pieces separately in cold salty water several times to help release any excess dye.

Lovingly handmade in India, slight variations in colour are part of the unique beauty of each garment.

Sale items: are final sale and not eligible for a return, unless deemed faulty.

Returns must be lodged within 14 days of delivery via our Returns Portal.
Garments must be returned unworn, unwashed, with tags attached, and folded inside the recycled vintage sari carry bag provided.
