Wonderfully soft and sustainable, the Intrepid Kantha Jacket embraces the essence of the past, created from Vintage Kantha rugs, they are made from 100% Cotton and 100% recycled fabrics.

A very generously over-sized design, which is both relaxed-fitting and easily layered over any outfit.

Each jacket a timeless one-of-a-kind creation, made from layers of pre-loved cotton saris that are up-cycled and meticulously stitched together to form a rug-sized piece. The intricate all over hand-stitched embroidery, ensures every jacket is an individual work of art.Lovingly handpicked Kantha's are up-cycled and transformed into these unique Kantha jackets, with each characteristic piece reflecting the care and craftsmanship poured into its creation.

Created from repurposed vintage textiles, our Vintage Kantha pieces are cut from traditional Kantha quilts — layered vintage cotton saris hand stitched together over time — while our vintage sari blouses are created from reclaimed silk, wool/silk blends, and cotton saris. Rich in character and history, no two are ever the same.

The Process

Each piece is thoughtfully reimagined from vintage textiles and produced in small quantities, celebrating the beauty, craftsmanship, and time-worn nature of artisan-made fabrics. Every garment is unique — a true one-off.

Measurements:

Shoulder to hem - 66cm

Chest circumference - 120cm

Arm hole circumference - 56cm

Arm length (shoulder to cuff) - 57cm

Measurements are shown in centimetres (cm) and taken with the garment laid flat. They refer to the garment itself, not your body.

Fit may vary between styles, with some designed for a relaxed fit and others more shaped through the bust, waist, or hips.

As most SoulSong garments are made from natural cotton with minimal stretch, we recommend allowing room for ease and movement when selecting your size.

Garment Care

Please treat me gently, as I'm made from vintage textiles and/or hand embroidery.

We recommend: spot clean | steam | air | dry clean.

If needed, gently hand wash in cool water. Do not soak. Drape over a towel to dry immediately.

Lovingly handmade in India, slight variations in colour are part of the unique beauty of each garment.

Full priced items: can be returned for a refund or credit note. Full priced Vintage garments can be returned for a credit note only.

Full priced items purchased during a promotion: can be returned for a credit note only.

Returns must be lodged within 14 days of delivery via our Returns Portal.
Garments must be returned unworn, unwashed, with tags attached, and folded inside the recycled vintage sari carry bag provided.

Lovely jacket

The jacket fits me perfectly (usually a size 12) and looks great. The
materials are excellent quality, and the stitching done well.
Couldn't be more pleased.

It’s lovely

It’s lovely . . My only let down were the sleeves are way too short for me so now I have to cuff them and wear it like a 2/3 sleeve.. going by the model Photos I thought the sleeves would be full length. But the colours are lovely
