The Saanvi brings together a beautifully relaxed shirt and full-length trousers, each hand block printed using the centuries-old Ajrakh technique. Crafted from soft, breathable 100% cotton, every piece carries the depth, rhythm and individuality that only traditional hand printing can create.

The shirt has an easy, generous shape that feels relaxed without overwhelming the body. Finished with a classic collar and handcrafted brass buttons, it's just as beautiful worn loose over your favourite jeans as it is buttoned with the matching trousers.

The trousers feature a broad elasticised waistband, adjustable drawstring and generous pockets that make them as practical as they are beautiful. Relaxed through the leg, they have a natural ease that allows the cloth to find its own rhythm.

The Textile

Soft and weightless with a light, flowing feel. Semi-sheer with a fine, gentle softness to the touch, moving beautifully on the body.

The Process

Hand Block Printed in India, using the traditional Ajrakh technique.

Hand block printing is a traditional and highly skilled artisan technique, where fabric is printed by hand using intricately carved rosewood blocks.

It's a process that takes time, and begins with preparing the cloth and carving the blocks. The dye master then mixes the colours by hand and memory, each print is placed with precision, guided by eye and experience — a steady rhythm, applying the print in layers to bring the pattern to life.

Once printed, the fabric is washed, dried, and checked — revealing a textile shaped by time, skill, and human touch.

Subtle variations may occur, and are part of what makes each piece unique.

Garment Care

Handmade garments need extra loving care. Gently hand wash in COLD water using a very small amount of natural detergent. Do not soak or leave wet in a laundry basket. Do not place in a dryer. Drape or hang in the shade to dry. Leave un-ironed for that natural cotton look and feel.

We recommend washing Indigo pieces separately in cold salty water several times to help release any excess dye.

Lovingly handmade in India, slight variations in colour are part of the unique beauty of each garment.

Full priced items: can be returned for a refund or credit note. Full priced Vintage garments can be returned for a credit note only.

Sale items: are final sale and not eligible for a return, unless deemed faulty.

Returns must be lodged within 14 days of delivery via our Returns Portal.
Garments must be returned unworn, unwashed, with tags attached, and folded inside the recycled vintage sari carry bag provided.
