The Textile

Hand Loomed Organic Kala Cotton
Kala cotton is one of India's oldest indigenous cotton varieties, traditionally grown using rain-fed farming methods and requiring minimal intervention. 
The cotton yarns are naturally dyed before being hand loomed by skilled artisans, creating beautifully textured cloth rich in character and depth.
Naturally breathable and rich in substance, Kala cotton is celebrated for its durability, beautiful texture and individuality that only handwoven cloth can bring.

The Process

Loom & Block
Hand loomed cloth and hand block printed cotton meet in a creative layering of texture, combining two remarkable textile processes that have been practised for generations. The richly textured outer is woven slowly on traditional looms, while the lining is hand printed using intricately carved wooden blocks.
Rich in depth, individuality, and human touch, each piece reflects generations of knowledge and the enduring appeal of cloth shaped slowly by human hands.

Handmade garments need extra loving care. Please gently hand wash in COLD water. Do not soak or leave wet in laundry basket. Do not place in a dryer. Place on a hanger to dry in the shade. Leave un-ironed for that soft natural look and feel.
