Kala cotton is one of India's oldest indigenous cotton varieties, traditionally grown using rain-fed farming methods and requiring minimal intervention. 

The cotton yarns are naturally dyed before being hand loomed by skilled artisans, creating beautifully textured cloth rich in character and depth.

Naturally breathable and rich in substance, Kala cotton is celebrated for its durability, beautiful texture, and the individuality that only handwoven cloth can bring.

The Process

Naturally dyed cotton yarns are hand loomed into beautifully textured cloth before being carefully assembled and finished entirely by hand. Every seam, border, embellishment, tassel, and finishing detail is meticulously stitched, reflecting countless hours of skilled handwork and generations of textile knowledge.

Our Woven Earth garments require gentle care, as they feature natural dyes, hand loomed cloth, hand stitching, and many handmade details and embellishments.

We recommend spot clean | steam | air | dry clean.

If washing is required, gently hand wash in cool water using a mild natural detergent. Do not soak. Gently reshape and drape over a towel to dry immediately.
